I am not an avid golfer and have a swing speed of about I couldn’t hit a wood to save my life and a friend gave me his FT-i to try – easiest club to hit ever, apparently. If this is you then this is probably the best square driver out there at present. I was killing the ball with the Ft-i last weekend, outdriving the other in my foursome by 30 — 40 yards consistently. The Callaway FT-i driver has had a lot of hype and rightly so as it was the first introduction of a new type of driver focussing on a high moment of inertia MOI to reduce twisting of the club head at impact, particularly on off-centre hits. Everything about it is fantastic. There are 1 items available. It makes sense to the layman cwllaway it being square and counter-balanced by its rear corners and is fairly confidence boosting as you look down on it. Interesting side-effect of playing the fti for a month or so, I find when I get callawsy old driver out at the range, I hit it much better than I used to.

Callaway FT-IQ Driver

On order, so stay tuned for my review. This strategically shapes the face thickness in the key areas to create a much larger effective hitting area, making it extremely forgiving.

There were little complaints about the 9 degree GBB besides low trajectory. Not much distance loss on off center hits. As the sweet spot is effectively stretched over the face, bad shots are greatly reduced for the high handicapper. Callaway FT-i/FT-5 Driver Review (Clubs, Review) – The Sand Trap

The price has now dropped due to the fallaway IQ coming out but I will be thrilled to try my club in the spring.

The FT-5 is feeding me some crow…but it tastes good!!!

For the FT-5, there are some relatively minor tweaks. I think the FTi is a great club. I couldn’t hit a wood to save my life and a friend gave me his FT-i to try – easiest club to hit ever, apparently. I highly callawsy it! Other models may have higher MOI, but kmix one just works so well! The sound took a little getting used tosimilar to whacking a 59 Buick hub-cap with a cresent wrench. My clubhead speed is about so I bought the neutral stock stiff shafted club with matrix ozik xcon 6 shaft.

See other items More People thought I was swinging a Volkswagon on a shaft and now that club looks so small…and the two ball putter was thought to be imic odd looking club, too.

I do the slice thing regularly. Used but in fantastic shape. The ball is so hot of the face it is unreal. They hype and sensationalism quietened down a long time ago now but is this club worth revisiting?

BTW- I typically hit my drives ….
